This is now under new management and ownership, and it's been so since Feb 2017. New menu includes some of the most staple items from Nepal in addition to the classic Indian dishes. We were there for a Saturday late lunch with a large group; both the service and taste aspects were great.
We tried all three types of MoMos in their menu (Steamed, Jhol and C MoMo); the family members differed in their rankings of which MoMo is the best, but all of them were hits. We also tried full chicken Tandoori; the servers explained to us that they make the tandoori from scratch after they receive the order to ensure the dish is juicy and tasty; and yeah, we agreed once the dish arrived. We also tried the Chef Special Naan and Chicken Chilli.
It will be an incomplete review if I do not applaud the service. The serving staff is knowledgeable about the food and the respective recipes; and they are friendly.
The staff was very attentative. The restaurant appeared to be all new, and everything was very clean. The waitress recommended the Momo for an appetizer, so we went for it. It was very good, and even our kids liked them. For dinner we had the lamb biryani, chicken kormo, palak paneer, samosa, and garlic naan. The meals came with soup or salad. The soup was a vegetable broth based, a little creamy, a little rice, and a nice amount of heat. The salad was the usual tomato, romaine and cucumber, fresh food with a light dressing. The chicken kormo for the kids was excellent, creamy, light and not spicy. The right dish if you have picky kids. The palak paneer was better than other places, because they did not puree the spinach. It had nice slices of fresh ginger, and jalapeño. The paneer was fresh. I tasted the dish my husband chose, it was flavorful and I could clearly taste the cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. The chef, Roz, came and spoke to us after dinner. A personable man, and I appreciated he was willing to talk about the food. For dessert thee kids had the mango kulfi, my husband and I had the kheer. the kulfi was creamy and good, a little icy. The kheer was fantastic, again the cardamom, coconut, rice and cashews was such wonderful melding of flavors. Before we had had dessert, the kids were saying we'd deimfinitely be back and I agree. The only drawback is the price. however, the food is fresh and tasty, the service is good and the restaurant is clean... worth it.
